S&T department was created on March, 1983. Promotion of renewable energy programmes
was one of the thrust area and objective of the deptt. and most of the resources
were concentrated in this direction. In 1995, State Govt. created new Department
of Non Conventional Energy Sources by bifurcating the S&T Deptt. Accordingly,
priority areas of Deptt were reframed. | |
